Dupes... Mac Snob

Whilst on a trip to Melbourne recently, I thought I'd treat myself to one of Mac lipsticks (amongst other items!) I had already had my eye on the shades Angel and Snob and just couldn't decide between the 2. I tried both on and although they are quite similar, both were beautiful in their own rights so I got both. Much to my surprise when I got home, I realised that I have a lipstick that is exactly the same!! Revlon primrose is a colour that has been a favourite for a long time now, so much so that I have back ups ready at the waiting when I run out. Let me show you how alike they are......

Both of these are blue based, cool toned pastel pinks, with Snob being just a little bit more matte than Primrose. There is no mistaking the luxurious feel of a Mac lipstick but I have to admit, Snob is just a little more drying on my lips. primrose seems to be a bit more moisturising. 

With regards to wear, they both last about the same on me and I always wear a lip liner underneath. (Rimmel east end snob is my favourite pairing with these) sometimes I will also top with a gloss depending on what other makeup I'm wearing.

Revlon always have sales going at my local stores so I didn't actually pay full price for that one. In fact last time I went shopping I saw them in a basket for $10!

As you can tell from the picture, Snob is just a little more pigmented than Primrose but I think it is a definite dupe. 

So, splurge on Mac or save your money and pick up Revlon?? 

Honestly, I do love Mac but I think I will stick with my Primrose from now on. :)
